A native of Philadelphia, Dr. Henry received his bachelor of science in biology from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut followed by his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. After his residency training in pediatrics at the duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware, he completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Henry came to Phoenix in July of 2004 and joined PCH. Dr. Henry's professional and academic interests include acute lymphoblastic leukemia, non-Hodgkin's and Hodgkin's lymphoma, histiocytosis, and general hematology. In addition, Dr. Henry is very involved with patient care and is committed to pediatric cancer research, particularly with respect to childhood leukemias. Dr. Henry has performed microarray genomics work on childhood leukemia in collaboration with the Children's Oncology Group and with some prominent investigators in Australia. Dr. Henry has presented his research at national meetings and has authored many journal articles. He is an active participant in the American Society for Blood and Bone Marrow Transplantation, the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, and the Children's Oncology Group. Dr. Henry also is committed to both resident and medical student education, and he actively participates in teaching activities for both training groups.
